Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - It is common for words and meanings to be lost in a translation, but a whole city?
"Jerusalem. There is no such city!" That is what the municipality of Jerusalem wrote in a sightseeing catalog that comes in an English version, originally published in Hebrew.
The correct translation, however, is something more along the lines of, "Jerusalem. There is no city like it!"
Israel's Maariv carrying the photograph of the brochure said that tens of thousands of them had been distributed before the folks at city hall came to know about the error.
